  • Door Frame- Structural steel tubing jig welded to assure straightness. Shop coated with red oxide primer.
  • Trusses- Interior trusses manufactured of structural steel tubing to provide rigidity and wind loading   without the use of a cane bolt.
  • Hinges- High strength cold formed hinges shop welded to frame. 5/8" or 3/4" cold rolled hinge pins- lubricated on install.

  • Bottom Rollers- Minimum 3" diameter solid steel roller bearing with extra heavy outer casting.

  • Jamb Rail- 3x4x1/4" angle iron supplied for bottom roller guide on post-frame buildings.
  • Latches- Standard heavy gauge steel manual cam type latch at each side of door.

  • Bottom Seal- 2-Ply cloth inserted rubber that is doubled and sandwiched between the door frame and sheeting to provide a 3" weather tight seal.
  • Operator- Mounted above the door or on the bottom of the door frame, all lift cable, roller chain, gearbox and other materials subject to door weight are designed with a 5:1 safety factor.

  • Motor- Totally enclosed fan cooled continuous duty 1 HP (115V or 230V) Motor minimum, motor sized to the weight of the door.
  • Control Box- 24V Transformer, limit switches, contractors and control wiring are contained in a single enclosed unit.
  • Wiring- All control wiring is low voltage (24VAC) to ensure safety. This includes, but is not limited to the 3-Push Button Control Station, Limit Switches and Latch Disconnect Switches.
  • Operational Control- NEMA 1 (Open, Close, Stop) 3-Push Button control station to allow door to be started, stopped and reversed at any point.
  • Top/Bottom Limit Switches- Easy switch adjustment contained in control box for automatic shut-off of power when door is fully opened and closed.
  • Cables- Minimum 3/16" or 1/4" aircraft cable. Quantity of cables is determined by the size of the door and is designed for a 5:1 safety factor.
  • Cable Sheaves-(top operator) Solid Steel with shielded, sealed ball bearings and a 5/8" diameter pin.
  • Cable Drums-(bottom operator) Minimum 3" or 4" diameter heavy walled steel tubing with cable guards.
  • Cable Drums-(bottom operator) Minimum 3" or 4" diameter heavy walled steel tubing with cable guards.
  • Drive Shaft-(bottom operator) 1-1/4" cold rolled steel shaft running the full width of the door.
  • Bearings- 1-1/4" 4-Bolt greaseable flange bearing with forged steel case.

Optional Features

  • Auto-Latch- Drive shaft driven latch automatically latches and un-latches door when the door is closed or opened.
  • Latch Disconnect Switch- Mounted to manual latch, it does not allow door to be opened unless the latches are disengaged.
  • Remote Control- 3-Button transmitter allows door to be opened, stopped or closed from the outside of the building. Requires the door to have auto-latch.
  • Dead Man Control- 3-Push Button control that requires constant pressure from operator to operate the door.
  • Walk-Thru Service Doors- Heavy duty aluminum framed insulated door or heavy duty roll formed steel doors.
  • Windows- 3'0"x3'0" fixed or rolling insulated windows
  • Sheeting and Trim- 29 or 26 gauge commercial ribbed sheeting and trim available in an assortment of colors.
  • Insulation- Vinyl backed fiberglass insulation or styrofoam board insulation available.
  • Support Frame- Side columns and support frame header supplied when building is not designed to withstand the forces of a bi-fold.
